We were a hit at the Villa d'Este in SF as part of the Bay Area Performers Benefit for Staten Island victims of superstorm Sandy.
We made some contacts for potential future employment, and in a fortuitous accident of timimg we were the performers onstage when the local news cameraman showed up to videotape the event for KTVU-TV.
Later that night at 10:17, there we were on channel 2, singing "Mood Indigo" to the packed house, during the news story associated with Congress' passing of a bill to disburse part of the relief funds. What a kick!
Judy was a total trooper, and deserves kudos for arriving on crutches and doing the show on a stool with her newly-sprained ankle in a brace. She represented the resilience of the survivor!
This event was also the debut of our newest member, Chris Schroeder, who did a great job. Chris will be substituting for Ricki whenever she is unavailable.
