Bio
Lovin’ Harmony is a San Francisco Bay Area-based musical trio specializing in tight-harmony vocal interpretation of jazz and pop standards from the swing era thru the 1960's. Their shows are a dynamic mix of trio, duet, and solo numbers performed in period costumes chosen to suit the season, occasion, venue, and audience.
Inspired by Manhattan Transfer, the Andrews sisters, the Puppini Sisters, the Boswells, and the Pointer Sisters, as well as various "girl groups" such as the Chordettes, they bring energy and joy to beloved standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as vintage pop songs, and Broadway show tunes. They also enjoy introducing some lesser-known tunes with their own interpretations.
Songbirds Judy Berger, Mardi Crawford, and emeritus member Ricki Rush originally met in a local a capella chorus and soon branched out to explore the jazz idiom as soloists, studying with local jazz luminaries, and performing in clubs, restaurants and open-mic venues. In 2010 they joined forces as a trio. In 2012 Chris Schroeder joined the group as an alternate, and in 2015 she became a full-time member when Ricki retired.
The trio has performed to great acclaim at street fairs, supper clubs, private parties, local retirement communities, and shopping malls. They have appeared at a number of fundraisers for charitable causes, and perform annually for Bread and Roses at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and several support organizations for seniors such as Whistlestop in San Rafael.

"Lovin’ Harmony performed at our holiday party, for our 150 volunteers . They sang a wonderful selection of holiday music and songs from the 1940’s. They were amazing! We had volunteers sing along, dance and thoroughly enjoy every song. We can’t wait to have them return next year!!! "

"The Lovin' Harmony Trio thrilled the residents of the SF VA Medical Center with their vintage vocal jazz. They honored the vets for their service to our country, transporting all to the "Sunny Side of the Street."
