We got together this afternoon to do some strategizing about marketing, de-brief about yesterday's performance, and to polish up a few spots we thought could use some improvement before we sit in on Sunday at the Sleeping Lady in Fairfax during our friend and mentor Connie Ducey's monthly show there with her band Namely Us.
Afterward we went to our regular open mic with the Jim Whiteside Trio at the Mayflower Inn in San Rafael where we each got to sing lots of solo numbers with the band. It's a great place to try out new material, and we've developed quite a supportive community of singers who attend regularly.
