Mardi will use the time off to prepare for her return engagement as a soloist at the charming and historic Panama Hotel Restaurant.
We'll all continue to develop our repertoire and we'll be singing at several local open mic venues.
After our busy week of 4 shows in 5 days, the trio is going on hiatus while Judy travels to Spain for a month, where she will be the featured singer a the wedding of two friends from Madrid.

We've had a bit of downtime since our scheduled shows on Mother's Day were (thankfully) cancelled at the last minute due to a lock-down for health reasons at one of our client communities.
Downtime is over now. We have 5 shows coming up in the next 10 days! Our show for the Novato Soroptimist annual fundraiser was well received, even though we struggled a bit with the house sound system which lacked a monitor.
Just as we were hoping would happen, two people told us they were interested in hiring us for their private parties, so we consider the event a definite success! We had a good turn-out of friends last night for our first gig at True North in San Anselmo. The owner liked our act and has invited us back! If all goes according to plan, we will be performing there on the first Sunday of every other month. Hope to see you there on June 1!
We had a large appreciative audience for the show we did this afternoon for Bread & Roses at Lifelong Medical Care, an Alzheimer's day care facility. We even got some of the staff up and dancing in the back of the room!
After a brief hiatus for lots of holiday adventures, Lovin' Harmony is back in action! At the end of January, Mardi, Judy, and Chris brought our show to AgeSong, a new venue for us in Oakland. We had the pleasure of working with our wonderful pianist Si Perkoff on the house grand piano... always a special treat.
We're currently prepping for a pair of back-to-back Valentine's Day shows, one in Sonoma with Ricki, and one in Vallejo with Chris. We're developing some new repertoire, and Judy has been doing her usual great job marketing. She's organized a gig for us at True North, a restaurant in San Anselmo, which will give our growing fan club a nice place to grab an artisan pizza and enjoy our performance w/out a cover charge. If all goes well that will be a monthly gig on every first Sunday evening. In addition, we just committed to do three more pro bono shows for Bread and Roses in the next few months. Lovin' Harmony closed out a very successful year (39 shows!) today with a pair of shows. The first was at a new venue for us, and we were so well received that we were quickly booked for 2 shows there next year. Judy and Mardi covered the second show as a duo, and afterward we negotiated SIX new dates for this client in 2014 including three dinner dances with full bands. Eight new bookings in one day, and we're getting a RAISE! Lovin Harmony is on a brief hiatus while Judy tours Argentina. She's been enjoying the music scene in Buenos Aires and is about to take off for to hike the wilds of Patagonia. Meanwhile we're working on repertoire development and getting our 2014 bookings lined up. We've already got 11 dates confirmed, and lots more in progress !
We had a great time at the TREK Winery in Novato on sunday afternoon singing two sets at a fundraiser for Rotoplast, an organization that organizes mission trips with surgeons who volunteer to operate to repair cleft lip and cleft palate for needy children and young adults. It's life changing for both the patients and the doctors and we were honored to be hired by our friend, Dr. Anne Delaney, to help make the event a success. |
